Full stack web development as a Subscription Service

The "Initial Task Guarantee" is protection for new subscribers to make sure Web Forge SS is able to carry out the initial desired task. If a Web Forge SS is unable to conduct the work then a full refund of the subscription is returned. Generally Web Forge SS would review code to determine if the initial task can be completed. This can result in 3 possibilities. 1) It is possible and development continues as normal. 2) It is not possible and payment is refunded. 3) More time is needed to review the code. At which point the Web Forge SS communicates with the subscriber to determine the best course of action.

Turn around times for tasks are tightly coupled to the complexity of the task. A simple task might be completed within a day. Some task may take several days. There is no set turn around time for a task. You will receive regular updates on work conducted on the tasks and details about expected completion.

If the task it quick then it would be expected to be completed in 2 to 4 days of receiving all required information.

Web Forge is different from hiring a full time developer. They are not really equatable. The main difference is the high cost in employing a full time engineer/developer which can be well into the triple figures. Including wage and additional costs. A full time employee will be required to be fed a consistent stream of work. Web Forge SS does not cause such a financial burden and allows for work to be conducted only when required.

The main advantages of Web Forge SS over traditional freelancers or contractors are speed and cost-effectiveness. Typically, quoted prices can be problematic due to predetermined rates and required deposits. Often, these quotes are merely predictions, inflated to account for the unknown complexities of each unique project. Furthermore, the quality of an existing codebase can be uncertain without thorough investigation, adding to the unpredictability of final costs. Additionally, changes in client requirements can lead to disputes over revised costs. In my experience there are ALWAYS changes, and it is not possible to predict them all.

In contrast, hourly rates for freelancers and contractors remove the above problems but there is no incentive for efficiency. If developers can complete a task in a quicker time frame, or use tools to help speed up the process, there is no incentive to do so.

Refunds are not a feature provided (only via the New Subscriber Prorate gift) . Each month tasks are arrange in a way to be the most efficient and other business logic applied for all subscribers both active and inactive. The Pause feature caters for subscribers without current tasks.

The Web Forge SS Portal is where all tasks and communcation for those task are handled. After you are subscribed you will receive all the information you need to get started. The process is quite simple. Login to the Portal with an easy interface to manage your tasks. Create tasks indicating any relevant information required. You will then recieve communcation clarifying the task and any requests for additional information. Once all the questions and required information is obtained then development can commence. You will then be notified of updates via the Portal or preferred communcation.

All work is conduction by me. I'm Shane, a freelance Solutions Architect / Software Engineer with over 25 years experience working with websites and web applications. On the odd occasion during times of increased load, graphical and multimedia work may be outsourced. All code and documentation work is conducted by myself.

Task are conducted one at a time. Although you are able to request multiple tasks development is conducted one 1 task at a time. IE you may only have 1 active task at any time. You may switch or change the active task at any time.

Web Forge SS is totally capable of adjusting to use whatever tech stack you desired. Whether its BitBucket or a GitHub, communcation over slack or skype, text or audio, adjustments can be made to suit what is best for you.
